HUNGARY • Edale sold a 9-colour Edale FL3 press with UV curing to the Hungarian printer Norma. The printer wants to enhance its customer production and “prepare us for the future”, according to Gábor Rostás, managing director of Norma.

The label and packaging manufacturer plans to use the FL3 for the production of IML, self-adhesive, multi-layer and extra-large labels, and also for laminates, hot-melt application and specialties.

According to the company, Norma’s new FL3 press has a special 41” in maximum print length for extra-large in-mould labels, a second web re-insertion for multi-layer labels, high capacity hot air drying for in-mould label coating and variable length sheeting – up to 41in repeat with CAM profile. The press further features UV curing.

Edale recently sold a FL3 to the UK-based printer Sturdy Labels and also exhibited at Labelexpo Europe 2017.
