BELGIUM • The company will launch a modular full colour UV inkjet printer. The C324PA is designed to be integrated on existing roll-to-roll transport systems such as flexo label presses.

The new inkjet printer is equipped with an Arc concept creating the required web tension as well as the possibility to include pinning LED. Features are a full automatic purge, wipe and cap functionality for easy maintenance and constant print quality.

According to the company the C324PA UV inkjet printer has versatile print head configuration possibilities with in total 12 slots to integrate as many print heads and pinning lamps to create custom made systems. Users are able to start with only CMYK and to expand the CMYK with orange and green/violet and also increase the number of pinning LED lamps for the full printing width of 324 mm (12.75”). This versatile concept gives the possibility to start with a print width of 216 mm (8.50”) wide in CMYK and extend this to six colours or extend from 216 mm (8.50”) wide to 324 mm (12.75”) print width when needed.

According to Amica the printing speed in 600 x 600 dpi is up to 75 m/min (246 fpm) with Kyocera print heads creating a full digital system. When integrated on a flexo or other press a hybrid printing system can be created.

The Amica C324PA is driven by the company’s ColorPrint software and can be seen on Amica’s stand (hall 9, stand C60).
