Meech – Static control and web cleaning at the Xeikon Café

The Meech Hyperion DC range of static control bars eliminate static electricity to avoid quality and safety problems

BELGIUM • For their third visit of the Xeikon Café, the company will focus on the significance of static control and maintaining a clean web in digital printing. Meech solutions will be included in live demonstrations of folding carton and IML applications, and Donald Lewis, business development manager of Meech will share his knowledge in the “Web Cleaning & Static Control solutions for Digital Production” session of the educational Xeikon Café technical conference program.

On show will be the CyClean non-contact web cleaner. Ideal for high-speed presses and with an ability to handle virtually any substrate, it improves the flexibility of the press and ensures spotless webs are maintained. With no consumable costs, it is capable of removing contamination to below 1 micron and incorporates fluid dynamic principles to provide higher levels of cleanliness for digital print applications.

Unchecked, static electricity can cause productivity, quality and safety problems. Meech will show its Hyperion DC range of static control bars. The 924IPS and 929IPS antistatic bars are both powered by 24V DC, feature Meech’s Ion Current Monitoring (ICM) technology that provides local and remote alerts when the bars need cleaning. They also incorporate adjustable performance settings including polarity, frequency and output voltage.
