USA Dutch manufacturer of narrow web presses, MPS, is to strengthen its North American presence by expanding its sales, installation, service and assembly operations there in a project led by Denny McGee, President of MPS America LLC, and Kees Nijenhuis, VP of North American operations, both of whom are well known in the industry.
“We’ve been in the North American market for several years and have developed some strong relationships with printers,” said McGee. “By implementing this strategic growth plan – which includes directives for enhancing sales, installation, service, assembly and consultative assistance – we will bring even more value to our customers.”
MPS users around the world have enjoyed success with the company’s high-tier presses, according to McGee, with a good ROI, quality printing, reduced waste and increased efficiency. He said: “Our goal is to help our customers excel, and we do this by listening closely to their needs and challenges, and then developing solutions that specifically address them.” An example of this approach is a recent installation in South Africa that resulted in an increase in sales of 30%. McGee is keen to ensure that North American customers report comparable success.
MPS will also be expanding its network of service partners to provide 24/7 support and stocking of critical spare parts for MPS presses in North America. Currently, MPS uses Press Works and McGee says he is delighted to extend the strategic cooperation. “By expanding our service network we can offer world-class service in the North American market, which is our number one priority,” he added.
MPS kicked off its strategic effort earlier this year by joining with other leaders from the narrow web flexible packaging supply chain to share knowledge on the FlexPack Tech Tour 2014, a series of seminars for converters across the country that addresses the challenges facing flexible packaging.
