Counterfait protection is a big issue in all sectors. This is especially the case in the automotive industry, engineering, arts- and textile market as well as in pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries. Safety strategies are required which are simple to use and legally identifiable.

Microparticles with a unique colour code

The microscopically small particles contain a colour code with the individual colour order. They are very effective for the user. For forgers the imitation is too complicated. Out of 4 billion possible codes every user gets his own unique micro-colour code, which will be produced for him exclusively. Just like the genetic fingerprint the authenticity of a product can be unequivocally identified with help of the colour code.

With these worldwide smallest micro-colour-codes the safety labels, packaging, products, textiles, documents and data will be marked forgery-proof. The microparticles can be easily applied onto seal stickers, closer stamps, holographic labels and many other printing products and packaging.

The technology of micro colour codes is forgery-proof has been in action for over 15 years. This method brings a clear proof of originality and is accepted as evidence in court. Micro-colour-codes secure your brand- and patent portfolio and save you from unjustified claims for damages.

Tiny and extremely robust

The microparticles used by Robos are the smallest microparticles worldwide. They consist of melamine-alkyd-polymers. Each particle can be produced starting from a worldwide unique size of 8 ­micrometers (approx. 26.25×10−6 feet). The micro colour codes are extremely resistible, heat-proof and resistant against most chemicals. This enables the marking of products in critical environments and in food- and pharma packaging.

The particles are invisible to the unaided eye, but can be identified with a microscope. In doing so you can recognize 4 to 11 different ­colour layers which represent the individual user code. On customer’s request also colour codes with further features like e.g. UV or magnetization can be produced. In this way the manufacturers receive the optimum safety code for their specific application.

Processing and verification

The microparticles in their pure form have the consistency of a very fine powder. In this state the powder will be mixed with or ­included in various transmission media, different solid and liquid materials. Labels with microparticles can be produced by conventional printing or digital printing. The microparticles will be applied by the silkscreen printing subsequently. The application is accordingly versatile and is suitable to a wide product range.

The colour codes will be verified with an off-the-shelf pen- or desk microscope. The authentication can be done ad hoc without any prior knowledge locally. When taught about the application the end customers can check their newly acquired products.

Safety for trademark owner

The microparticles will be produced in a high-security-level building and are forgery-safe in action for 15 years. They can be easily combined with other safety features like for example holograms or tamper-proof labelling materials.

International patent protection

The producer of microparticles owns the international patent protection. The patent descriptions contain only extracts of the production steps. Thus the actual procedure remains secret and is nevertheless under patent protection.

Harmless for food and pharma packaging

Microparticles used by Robos can be applied on any packaging of food and medical and pharmaceutical products safely. This has been confirmed by the independent ISEGA science and research company from Aschaffenburg, stating that they “can be used as a safety- and marking system for food, medical and pharmaceutical products on the outer side of the packaging.”
