Today is the beginning of the world’s largest event for the label and package printing industries, Labelexpo Europe 2017. The show will bring together more than 600 manufacturers and service providers, prepress companies, printers and converters, providers of machinery and equipment, specialist dealers and industry professionals to discuss the latest technologies and trends, to watch product demonstrations and also make purchase decisions. Labelexpo Europe again takes place at Brussels Expo from 25th to 28th September 2017. The 2015 edition welcomed a total of 35,739 visitors from 133 countries, of which 90% where manager level and above, 86% were involved in purchasing decisions.
In addition to the products and services on display, numerous seminars, workshops, presentations and special exhibitions will show ways of producing products in the future and will also introduce solutions for current problems.
As Industry 4.0 is the current trend of automation and data exchange in manufacturing technologies, a new feature is the Automation Arena which will debut at this year’s exhibition. Demonstrating this shift towards combining industry with the “Internet of Things”, the Automation Arena is a practical live workshop for label production and will show visitors how information management can integrate workflow and automate production. With two automated press lines for digital and conventional label production, the whole production chain from job creation through to pre-press, printing, finishing and invoicing will be demonstrated. Located in Hall 11, the Automation Arena is being held in collaboration with Cerm, Esko, Xeikon, MPS, Kocher+Beck, AVT, Rotocontrol, Matho and Wasberger.
Labelexpo Europe will also be hosting a dedicated master class on MIS and workflow automation on 26th September. Organized by the Label Academy, the five-hour master class will be presented by Mike Fairley and focus on how electronically managing an efficient and profitable twenty-first century operation is able to offer an integrated management information solution.
