BELGIUM • In Brussels Rheintacho will present its first results since taking over RGK Video Systems and the inauguration of Rheintacho Vision Systems (RTVS). The measuring system supplier will be showing measurement solutions such as a customized hybrid lighting system for printing inspection and the Pocket LED Laser. At Labelexpo Europe 2017 Rheintacho will exhibit in hall 4, stand B62.
In cooperation with Spring Coating Systems, RTVS have developed a customized hybrid lighting system (standard/UV LED technology). According to the company this solution allows the inspection of the visible printing images and covers a large section of the UV spectrum for security marks. Visualisation of security marks, which are not visible under normal circumstances, is one of the challenges in the field of inspection. The security marks used in a range of applications within the label printing industry are printed using special coatings which react to specific wavelength illumination.
Flexo UV colour palette
Visitors will also be able to see Flow, a versatile flexo UV colour palette. It is formulated to be printed on a range of substrates including paper, cardboard and synthetic or metallized films. According to customer specifications, the wavelength under which the coating will be visible depends on the respective job without using a large number of fixed wavelength UV LEDs. According to the company RTVS hybrid lighting system offers an affordable alternative for small area security mark highlighting especially in the case of configurations where neither the high power or the wide beam of RT’s UV strobe solutions are required.
Synchronisation via integrated laser
Also on display on Rheintacho’s stand will be the Pocket LED Laser. Equipped with the patent pending auto laser sync function, this stroboscope continuously adjusts the flashing frequency according to the feedback provided by a reflective tape attached to the device under inspection. This means that lengthy adjustments are not now necessary, erroneous measurements due to harmonic frequencies are avoided and rotational speed variations are instantly followed. The qbLed solution already features this function; the Pocket LED laser solution is more compact.
Moreover, Rosas Maschinenbau, a Rheintacho customer, will present a rewinding solution involving a qbLed Stroboscope solution in hall 7, stand B40. In addition to proposing new systems as well as “re-engineered” ones, the company will show, alongside a camera inspection system, the qbLed as an additional inspection system for its versatility, ease of use and high light output.
