Label Industry Global Awards 2017 – Finalists for innovation and sustainability awards announced
GERMANY/ BELGIUM • During the FINAT European Label Forum, the judging panel met to consider entries across four award categories for the Label Industry Global Awards 2017. The shortlist for the awards for innovation (under and more than 300 employees) and sustainability were now announced as well as the winner of the lifetime achievement award: Professor Tan Junqiao, founder and honorary chairman the Chinese label association PEIAC. Judging for the 14th annual awards program took place during the FINAT ELF in Berlin. The winners will be announced during Labelexpo Europe in September.
The 2017 finalists are:

The R. Stanton Avery Lifetime Achievement Award goes to Chinese label industry’s founding father Professor Tan Junqiao, founder and honorary chairman of the China Label Sub Association of the Printing and Printing Equipment Industries Association of China (PEIAC). Judges for this year’s awards, under the chairmanship of Mike Fairley were: Thomas Hagmaier, president of FINAT; Craig Moreland, chairman of TLMI; Andy Thomas, strategic director, Labels & Labeling and Rosina Obermayer, editor of NarrowWebTech.
The winners will be announced at the Label Industry Global Awards ceremony and dinner on 25 September, where Professor Tan will be officially presented with his award. The award ceremony is part of Labelexpo Europe in Brussels, Belgium.
