AWA: Sleeve labels: A must-attend event

USA. All interested in or concerned with shrink or stretch sleeve labelling will be eager to mark their calendars for next Spring’s International Sleeve Label Conference and Exhibition (April 29–30, Cincinnati, OH).

Following the outstanding success of the past event held in the USA, the 2014 conference promises to deliver an informative expert update on this dynamic industry. As in 2012, it will also feature a facility tour at Verst Group Logistics to see multiple sleeving production lines in action – including the company’s new high-elasticity stretch sleeve labeller.

The formal agenda, led by a market overview from Dr William Llewellyn (Vice President and Senior Consultant, AWA Alexander Watson Associates) is divided into topic-specific sessions on marketing, design, innovation, materials, application and technologies, and environmental issues.

The advantages of MD shrink labelling, ink innovation and special effects for shrink films, and rotational spin labels will be discussed in the innovation session, while Klöckner Pentaplast and Accraply will bring their films manufacturing and converting expertise to the materials session.

A special feature of this year’s conference is the focused environmental session which brings together a broad selection of speakers from across the value chain (Campbell’s Soups, PepsiCo, Eastman Chemicals and ExxonMobil Chemical). The event is additionally enhanced by a concurrent suppliers’ exhibition, and delegates can also benefit from extensive networking around the booths.

The AWA Int ernational Sleeve Label Conference and Exhibition 2014 is open for online registration now.
