Broadbeam Electron Beam representative in S.America

BRAZIL • Implastic, a Brazilian company that represents companies specializing in industrial equipment for the plastics and printing industries, has become Brazil’s authorized BroadBeam sales representative for PCT Engineered Systems of Davenport, Iowa.  Based near Sao Paulo, Implastic is the first such external organization to represent PCT in South America.

PCT Engineered Systems is a developer and integrator of electron beam (EB) systems.  According to the company, EB technology continues to generate interest globally among package converters, metal coil coaters, and producers of décor paper and film as a curing solution.  EB is also used for laminating film, foil and paper; for crosslinking plastic shrink films and hot melt pressure sensitive adhesives; and in a variety of other applications.

“The Brazilian economy is poised for continued growth in several industries that utilize curing, crosslinking and sterilization.  In many cases EB technology offers a more beneficial solution for them.  PCT appreciates how important it is to have in-country resources to help promote the value of EB technology and support new users of our BroadBeam systems,” noted Karl Swanson, PCT’s Director of Sales and Marketing.   “We are very pleased to have Implastic representing us in Brazil.”
