RotoMetrics UK: “Evolution of Print” a major success

Neil Lilly, Customer Services Director for the UK and Ireland for RotoMetrics

GREAT BRITAIN • Welcoming more than 300 visitors from a dozen countries around Europe to the “Evolution of Print” event at its UK headquarters in Aldridge, RotoMetrics and 26 industry co-suppliers gave converters the opportunity to inform about latest technology.  In addition to their range of solid and flexible rotary dies, RotoMetrics invited presentations from flexo and digital press manufacturers, and suppliers of software, inks, substrates, inspection systems, anilox rolls, finishing lines and several other sectors of the supply chain.

In addition to the table-top displays and presentations, visitors were invited to take part in factory tours of RotoMetrics’ manufacturing facility at Aldridge, to see how the company has invested heavily in the latest machine finishing processes to ensure high quality and consistent performance from the dies produced.  Of particular interest were the laser hardening, chrome coating and back grinding processes, where the company is in the forefront of technological development.

As a sideline, but no less important, was the support given at the Open House to the Macmillan Cancer Support charity, which was the beneficiary of generous donations from those who attended.
