UK • Sun Chemical took the top accolade of Innovator of the Year in the Stationers’ Company Innovation Excellence Awards at an event held recently in London. It was the overall winner in recognition of the significance of its low migration ink for inkjet digital packaging applications.

The judges recognised that Sun Chemical had addressed a potential food contamination concerns, which up till now had been difficult to tackle. Using a unique formulation strategy, low molecular weight ingredients in the ink are allowed to cure and crosslink, thereby achieving low migration performance.
