Xeikon – Colombian label printer Topasa invested in a CX3 digital press

Topasa is the first label print shop in Latin America to invest in a new Xeikon CX3 digital press

COLOMBIA • Topasa is the latest label print shop to acquire a Xeikon CX3 and the first in Latin America to invest in Xeikon’s newest press based on Xeikon Cheetah technology. This decision is a critical element of Topasa’s growth strategy, which also includes a move to a new facility. These strategic investments will allow the company to produce 50% more square meters of labels per month.

Founded in 1964, Topasa today is a label printer that employs 85 workers. The company is structured into four business units – Industrial Label, Label Shrink, Label Security and Promotional Label. As part of its growth strategy, Topasa moved from its facility in Medellín to a new location in Guarne, Antioquía. The new facility will be equipped with a state-of-the-art physical and technological infrastructure designed to meet the highest quality standards, including those specified by ISO and GMP.

The goal of these investments is to enable Topasa to reach more potential customers and develop new market niches with competitive prices and the highest quality in the market. With these investments, Topasa will be able to produce a full range of new applications, including new applications on an innovative production platform that includes the Xeikon CX3.
