Schreiner ProTech / Bosch – Labels for transparent repair documentation developed
GERMANY / USA • The German developer and manufacturer of functional products, Schreiner ProTech, has developed a plastic clip with a human-readable, laser-engraved code combined with two silver Color Laser Film (CLF) labels for the newly introduced Bosch QualityScan. These CLF labels are set to guarantee reliable documentation for Bosch, a producer of diesel injection systems.
The code of common rail injectors for certain utility vehicles is located on a plastic clip affixed to the component. Schreiner ProTech developed a laser engraving process including code and human-readable text for this clip. For the required marking of other components with ID labels a tried and tested Schreiner ProTech solution was used: Color Laser Film (CLF) silver. Schreiner ProTech produces and supplies both the laser-engraved plastic clips and ID labels, each of which is customized.
With the QualityScan, Bosch offers car repair shops and end customers transparent documentation via the internet for common rail components repairs carried out by authorized garages. With this solution, Schreiner ProTech met Bosch’s preference for achieving two solutions from one source. Schreiner supplies the items necessary for this corresponding proof to Bosch Diesel Repair Shops worldwide, including Brazil, where diesel engines are particularly prevalent.

Schreiner ProTech labels the components used in Bosch Diesel Centres and by Bosch Diesel Services with individual encoding. The codes give evidence to customers that original spare parts of common rail injectors and pumps were installed utilizing certified repair processes. The end consumer can scan the code with a smartphone app and immediately receive confirmation that the order was carried out using original spare parts in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications.
